Tube Plate and Shoulder Plate
Manufactured from precision machined aluminium and prepared for the end application as appropriate.
Wet Applications
Protected with T-Coat 1000 coating, our specially developed coating, giving excellent resistance to corrosion and protection against harsh chemicals in any environment.
T-Coat 1000 inhibits the growth of bacteria, resulting in a safe, clean and simple wash down process.
Dry Applications
Deep hard anodised and blackened for corrosion resistance.

Forming Tube
Manufactured from precision machined aluminium to customers' specifications and prepared for the end application as appropriate.
Wet applications
The high quality tube has longitudinal grooves which reduce friction and allow the film to flow freely down the tube.

Grooved profile for wet applications.
Wet and Dry Applications
All tubes deep hard anodised and blackened for corrosion resistance, thus increasing production and life expectancy.

Smooth profile for dry applications.

Stainless Steel Tubes - wet applications
Manufactured from rigidised stainless steel plate, the forming tube is rolled, welded and mirror polished. The tube can be of single or double skin construction. Double skin construction incorporates an inner tube for applications where dust extraction and gas flushing are required. Inner tubes also help to reduce condensation on wet applications.

Forming Shoulder
Our forming shoulders, which are crafted by highly skilled specialist sheet metal fabricators, are constructed from stainless steel with a low friction, rigidised fin. All shoulders have a high quality hard chromium coating as standard, providing a long lasting, hard wearing film contact surface. We also offer a myriad of lap style options to suit customers' requirements.
Backseal Strip & Transport Plates
The backseal strip and transport plates are manufactured with a specially woven fabric backing, which is subsequently treated with a revolutionary coating to provides long life, low friction, non-stick sealing surfaces. The sealing strip provides a flexible sealing surface which promotes high integrity sealing. This construction replaces costly Teflon tape, reduces running costs and increases both efficiency and productivity.
Quality Assurance
Our forming sets are tested on customer production film prior to despatch. During the manufacture of our forming sets we make the following quality assurance checks to ensure:
- the 'flat bag width' size is as specified.
- film tracking is no more than 1.5mm (without the use of tracking collars).
- film marking, caused by the former, is eradicated.
- ensure that the backseal is in the correct position to prevent backseal spiralling.
Unless specified by the customer, all forming sets are commissioned at 65bags/minute (dependent on bag size).

Optional Features
We offer a range of optional features to suit customers' requirements.
Spreaders
These are offered in a range of fully interchangeable styles to assist in the formation of a myriad of bag styles, which can be produced from a single forming set:
- Block Bottom/Gable Top.
- Gusset.
- Pillow Pack.
Cone
These are used to increase feed efficiencies in snack and salad applications.
Gas Flushing
This option is used to prolong the shelf life of fresh produce.
Side Creasing
This option is used with rectangular forming tubes to give a neat, sharp appearance to the four edges of a bag.
Dust Extraction
These systems are used to improve bag sealing by removing dust from products during packaging.
Wheel-Away Transport Stand
This facilitates transportation of the forming tube between the storage area and the machine. |
